On behalf of CAPA and the SOE Production, you are invited to a CASTING CALL for the 2010 Splendor of East -Myths & Legends Production on May 7, 2010 at the Ford Peforming Arts Center in Dearborn, MI.
For those of you who are unable to attend, please submit a video teaser prior to January 10, 2010 for final selection.

2-3PM Choreographer(s) meeting with Production

Requirement:
1) Prepare a One-Minute Presentation (preferrably the myth/legend theme selected)
2) Group information & profile
3) BRING a Description of your presentation and include a full description outlining your presentation according to the theme myths & legends.
Note to Choreographers:
(Final) Performing groups will be required to include choreographies on the following: INTRODUCTION of myth/legend theatrical movements only (no music) for the voice-over narration in less than 30 seconds, groups must have ENTRANCE (on stage) & EXITS (off stage) allow at least 30 seconds.
Dance Form/Choreo Preference: Contemporary but not limited to with the cultural flare.
All presentation (dance, sing, instrumental, etc.) must have Emphasis on technical form, stage presence, show value & appearance.
Entire production will be fluid transitions between choreo & no black outs or no waiting for the next performer. Everyone must be prepared on que. Quick Costumes changes & props setup must be factored into each of your presentation. MUSIC - must be submitted in a CD with your group name by the first group rehearsal.
Be prepared to learn new choreography for the Grand Finale each scheduled production rehearsal date(s).
1) Actual Presentation length must be 3-4 minutes long
2) Must meet the SOE 2010 theme (MYTHS & LEGENDS)
3) Meet the ALL Rehearsals required by the Art Director & Production Committee
4) Presentation must be to highest quality, unique & different from prior SOE performances
