From: Andrea Johnson <johnsonand@daaa1a.org> We all have someone in our life that needs help from time to time. In Southeast Michigan For over 20 years Detroit Meals on Wheels has been there to provide a hot nutritious meal to these seniors. With the change in the economy Detroit Meals on Wheels need your help now more that ever. Your donation big or small will help. You simply cannot rely on someone else to give, so we need your help to reach our goal of raising $100,000 to feed 20,000 homebound seniors on Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and Labor Day. We are pleased to have been able to meet the needs of so many seniors living in Detroit, Highland Park, Hamtramck, Harper Woods and the five Grosse Pointes. In 1988 we created the Holiday Meals on Wheels Program, because federal funding was not available to provide meals on weekends and holidays. Happily for the past 20 years we have been able to provide hot nutritious meals on Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. It is our mission to feed every homebound senior in our area who needs a holiday meal. It is your turn. Please give to Detroit Meals on Wheels today!
